History of the Gaura Family's Hobby Beekeeping
Since 2018, bees have been accompanying us on our orchard meadows. Currently, we keep 15-20 bee colonies in Wolfertschwenden and the surrounding area. Since 2022, about 6 bee colonies have been residing on the MULTIVAC grounds.
The bees are tended by MULTIVAC employees Marina and Erick Gaura, with enthusiastic support from Sigrid Gaura.
The diligent Allgäu bees collect nectar for the blossom honey on the MULTIVAC premises, the adjacent meadows, and the fruit trees. Throughout the summer, the bees enjoy clover and late-blooming spring flowers. Later, they find honeydew in the nearby forests, which sometimes more or less darkens the summer honey with forest honey.
Seasonal climatic conditions such as rainfall, temperature, and sunlight are the reasons why the composition of the harvested honey varies slightly from year to year and is available in different quantities and consistencies.
We harvest the natural honey in a bee-friendly manner and process it just as gently to best preserve all its ingredients.
A wonderful addition to any breakfast table!
